9. This D.J. sucks

• Back in the summer for the 2018 USA Today Fantasy Football Guide, I chose Cards RB David Johnson as my Bust of 2018. It probably wasn’t well-received as he was coming off missing nearly all of 2017 with injury and is an elite back. But this offensive line is atrocious, as seen how the Bears swallowed the Cardinals quarterbacks whole. I hate being correct (so far) on Johnson being a potential bust, but he’s yet to rush over 50 yards and he’s yet to catch for more than 30 yards. Yes, he’s still scoring touchdowns, but if you can’t see the Cardinals are having problems then you’re in denial.

10. Catch the Falling Stars

Das Prescott – Cowboys are fast-beginning to come to grips that it’s not going to be a good year. The strength of their team was in their offensive line and after losing C Travis Frederick and LG Parker Ehihinger for an extended period of time, the run game is struggling. It’s neither Prescott’s nor Zeke Elliot’s burden to carry. Cowboys Executive VP Stephen Jones is largely to blame for not surrounding Prescott or Elliott with enough talent.

Dak has yet to throw for 175 yards or throw for more than one touchdown in a game. Prescott’s yards per attempt average is a measly 5.7 with a receiving corps made up of fantasy WR4/WR5s and no apparent tight end. This offense is going nowhere fast. Makings matters worse is that matchups might not get easier until Week 11 at Atlanta.

As for Elliott, who averaged 24.2 rushing attempts per game in 2017 is down to 16.0 per game. How long will 2018 be if he doesn’t get any help on the line or to share the hits? How long can he stay healthy facing eight men in a box?
