Happy Monday, sports betting fans. Week 3 was another crazy week around the NFL and let’s get right into reviewing our Freeplays and VIP plays. And once that is complete, we will dive into tonight’s battle of juggernauts…the Kansas City Chiefs vs. the Baltimore Ravens.
Play No. 1: 49ers/Giants Under 48 points with Dallas +11 (- 120 6 point teaser)
Not for a second did I think the Niners would score 36 points with that many back ups playing, especially on the road. Well they did and that’s because the Giants are dreadful. Luckily for us the Niner D is still this good even without Sherman and Bosa. Or is the Giants offense this bad? I think it’s both! I really expected more from the Giants D who look improved up from. This was just an ugly game for the Giants and this trend will continue on their way to a top 5 draft pick. Next week, Niners play the Eagles at home and Giants head to LA to battle the Rams.
Dallas went on the road to Seattle. Not for one second did I think the Cowboys were beating Russell Wilson and the Seahawks in their building. Fans or no Fans, Wilson is playing on another level than any other player in the league. He just set the most passing TD record for the first 3 weeks with 14! That being said, Dallas can put up points and the Seahawk D give up points. Getting 11 was too much to ignore. One point I have to bring up was DK Metcalf. He committed the cardinal sin by celebrating a TD before actually scoring the TD. That led to a fumble out of the endzone for a touchback. Kudos to the Dallas CB for punching the ball out from behind. Metcalf redeemed himself catching the eventual game winner.
Result: WINNER (1-0 in Week 3)
Play No. 2: Dallas Cowboys (+5 -110) vs. Seattle Seahawks (straight bet)
In my entire life of beating the NFL, there has always been a constant. The number 5. Getting 5 points that is.First time I lost getting 5 points ever. To my point above. No chance Dallas was beating Russel. But I thought it would have been a 3 point victory. We were looking good until Wilson dropped an absolute dime into Metcalf’s hands for the game winner.
Result: LOSER (1-1 in Week 3)
Play No. 3: Buffalo Bills (ML -120) vs. Los Angeles Rams (straight bet)
This will be the first game I watch later today. The Bills came out strong in the first half and took a quick 21-3 lead into the locker room. But the Rams made adjustments and turned this into the best game of the day. Turnovers late in the game by the Bills opened the door for the Rams and the Rams made them pay. But the Bills at home rose up to the occasion and kept fighting, taking this game 35-32 to remain undefeated. Before the season began, we gave all our VIP clients two futures for the Bills. O9.5 wins as well as winner of the AFC East.
Result: WINNER (2-1 in Week 3)
Play No. 4: Washington Redskins vs. Cleveland Browns Over 45 points (-110 straight bet)
This game was a no-brainer for me. I thought 45 was a little low. But looking into the numbers, the No-Name Football team committed 6 turnovers. 4 pick’s and 2 fumbles. That gave the Browns all the opportunity to keep tacking on points with a final score of 34-20. Mayfiled played smart football and the Browns played to their strength with their rushing attack. The Browns have a WINNING RECORD!!
Result: WINNER (3-1 in Week 3)
Play No. 5: Atlanta Falcons -3.5 to Philadelphia Eagles -4.5 (+262 parlay)
WHAT A JOKE FOR BOTH CLUBS. Let’s start with the Falcons. The Falcons were cruising. Trusbisky was playing like his awful self. (Since he got drafted I called bust) But here comes my guy Nick Foles. And Nick does what Nick does. Saves teams! Nick was in this offense in KC with Nagy. It;s not new to him. Hi picked apart the bad Falcon D and took the Bears to 3-0. I think the Trubisky era is over. They did not pick up his 5th option. They gave him a shot this year, but he is awful. He will have a future holding a clipboard.
The Eagles the Eagles the Eagles…just wow. Putrid is the first word that comes to mind. How you tied the Bengals at home when you had to WIN is beyond me. They have a rookie QB and rookie LT. More turnovers, undisciplined flags. Just garbage football that falls in the HC shoulders. They should have won this game easily. I’m done talking about this game. As an Eagle fan, I’m disgusted.
Result: LOSER (3-2 in Week 3)
Play No. 6: Saints +3.5 with Saints/Packers under 58.5 points (- 110 6.5 point teaser)
I really expected more from the Saints at home. This has to be the first time in Drew Brees career he lost two primetime games in the same week. Kamara could not be stopped. But the Saints O line did not play well. We finally saw an Emmanuel Sanders sighting as he was invisible almost the entire game. Jared Cook…same. That was really shocking to me. The Packers were without Davante Adams, but that did not matter. As Elite QBs can elevate the play of their players. Aaron Rodgers is on a mission. And seems like he has a chip on his shoulder since Jordan Love (future bust) was drafted in the first round by the Packers. I still can’t believe Allen Lazard went undrafted. I loved the kid skillset at Iowa State. Size, hands, route running…was all on display last night as the Packers won the shoot-out 37-30.
Result: LOSER (3-3 in Week 3)
Play No. 7: Alvin Kamara Over 53.5 receiving yards (-115 prop bet)
That was easy. Kamara finished with 13 receptions for 139 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. This bet was officially a winner before the game reached halftime. Man, is Alvin Kamara good!
Result: WINNER (4-3 in Week 3)
Week 3 Monday Night Football Freeplay
Kansas City Chiefs (2-0) at Baltimore Ravens (2-0)
Spread: Ravens -3 (-120)
Over/Under: 55 points
Time: 8:15pm ET (ESPN)
What a game we have here. Could this be the first glimpse into the AFC title game??? These teams are so evenly matched. So we have to use our fine tooth comb to find an edge. I think there is one. The biggest difference I see in this game is health and defense. Sammy Watkins is playing tonight, but I see him limited since he was in concussion protocol last week. KC also lost a starting DB in week one. As good as KC is, their Defense is not great. On the other side, the Ravens are D is really good. And their ability to run will be the difference maker at home. I just don’t see how the KC defense will stop Jackson, Ingram, and Dobbins on the ground. The Ravens have their own burner in Hollywood Brown as well. And they too have a great TE in Andrews.
Pick: Ravens -3 (-120)
