Chris Herndon, New York Jets vs. New England Patriots
With Josh McCown starting once again, it’s up in the air if Herndon will have a big day, but he’s still worth the stream if you’re looking for one should start and has opportunity. Assuming the week off allowed for some chemistry to be built, McCown should know what he has in the rookie Herndon who has become a nice budding target for Sam Darnold. He caught a touchdown in three straight games (Weeks 6-8) and he’s since caught seven passes for 96 yards. The Patriots have allowed three tight ends to score over the last four games and that’s a nice trend favoring the Jets and Herndon. On the season, the position is averaging 5.0 catches and 62.1 yards. If Herndon gets close to that, in addition to him being a red zone target, he’ll be in line for numbers that would make him a low-end TE1 these days.
