Matt Prater, Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears

Back in the day, this matchup would’ve featured two bungling teams that would shoot each other in the foot enough to make this a close contest. However, the Lions are the only ones who have shown an ineptitude on offense, and the Bears are going to be tough to move the ball. Prater’s opportunities vanish whenever the Lions go inside their den and while he’s had a few games of at least three field goals, the way the Lions are playing in the last two weeks are enough to see this is headed in the wrong direction. Also, note the Bears more efficient offense this past month. Unless they can run Kerryon Johnson against this Bears defense, Prater is looking at a big deficit on the scoreboard, which means foregoing field goals until the game gets close.
