Jason Myers, New York Jets at Detroit Lions
With Sam Darnold leading the way, Myers has a chance to be one of the few Jets players to have any significant fantasy value besides Robby Anderson and Isaiah Crowell. But he won this Jets placekicker job by default it seems since he was only competing with Taylor Bertolet. We’re not expecting much out of the Jets until we get a feel for what Darnold can do and if Myers can clean up the scoring drives. After a promising rookie season, Myers has failed to convert over 80 percent of his field goals for two straight seasons. If there are signs that he can’t convert what few opportunities he’s likely to have with a rebuilding offense, look for the Jets to have a short leash and kick Myers to the curb too.
