Tyrell Williams, WR, Los Angeles Chargers
Over two games heading into the Chargers’ bye week, Williams was a big play producer with seven catches for 236 yards and three touchdowns. Target volume is still a thing, with seven targets over that span, but Williams has over 40 yards or a touchdown in six out of seven games this season with more than 6.5 PPR fantasy points in those same six games.
At first glance Week 9 against the Seattle Seahawks looks tough, but a closer look shows some less than imposing offenses and wide receiver groups. Week 11 against the Denver Broncos looks legitimately easier than it has been in the past, and other than that a run of unabated easy matchups are coming for Williams against the Oakland Raiders (Week 10), Arizona Cardinals (Week 12), Pittsburgh Steelers (Week 13), Cincinnati Bengals (Week 14) and the Kansas City Chiefs (Week 15).
Williams is far more of a commodity in standard scoring leagues, with no more than five targets in a game this season. But with a bye behind him now, and a piece of the pie in a good Chargers’ offense, he’s a WR3/WR4 with upside in 12-team leagues.
