Seven weeks of the 2018 NFL schedule are almost in the books, and the fantasy football regular season is over the halfway point. But fantasy owners with any glimmer of hope have to continue churning roster depth, especially with five more weeks of byes and a six-team mega-bye in Week 9.
With all of that, here are nine must-adds off your fantasy football waiver wire heading into Week 8.
Marlon Mack, RB, Indianapolis Colts
After returning to action in Week 6 with 12 carries for 89 yards, Mack had 19 carries for 126 yards, two catches for 33 yards and two touchdowns (one rushing, one receiving) against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. If there were any questions about Mack’s health, or his lead role in the Colts’ backfield with Jordan Wilkins and Nyheim Hines combining for 13 touches in a blowout win, they were essentially put to rest on Sunday.
Next up for Mack is the Oakland Raiders, who went into their Week 7 bye allowing the 11th-most fantasy points to running backs (ESPN PPR scoring) and 4.9 yards per carry to the position. After a Week 9 bye and a couple tough matchups against the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans, a far easier matchup will come against the Miami Dolphins in Week 12.
Based purely on a high volume role in a highly-functioning offense, Mack should be a top waiver wire add again this week. It may require crossing your fingers he stays healthy, but by this time next week Mack should be ineligible for this list.
