The 2018 NFL season is already almost six weeks old, and bye weeks are ongoing for the next several weeks. So fantasy football owners have to cultivate depth, and Week 7 is the first week this year with more than two teams idle.
So with that, here are nine must-adds from your Week 7 fantasy football waiver wire.
Frank Gore, RB, Miami Dolphins
Gore had 101 yards on 15 carries, along with an 18-yard reception, against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. He has double-digit carries in three straight games, while averaging 5.4 yards per carry. During that stretch, fellow running back Kenyan Drake has just 22 carries and nearly cost the Dolphins a win with late fumble against the Bears.
Drake had more touches against Chicago (17 to 16), but Gore is becoming than a value vulture. Miami’s Week 7 opponent, the Detroit Lions, entered Week 6 allowing the fifth-most fantasy points to running backs (ESPN PPR scoring) and Week 9 (New York Jets) and Week 10 (Green Bay Packers) look like potentially good matchups too.
A late bye (Week 11) works in Gore’s favor. He’s worth adding as as RB3/RB4 in 12 and 14-team standard leagues, and he’ll be usable as a flex if the Dolphins’ backfield split continues.
