Devontae Booker, RB, New York Giants

Saquon Barkley left Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys with a left ankle injury that looked scarily swollen, and he was quickly ruled out. Booker stepped in as the Giants’ lead back, with 16 carries for 42 yards and a touchdown along with three catches for 16 yards and another score.

Barkley may be facing a multi-week absence with how severe his injury looked. Further evaluation is surely coming on Monday, to confirm or bring relatively good news.

In any case, Booker has moved from the handcuff to Barkley to an early must-add in a broader sense heading into Week 6. For any games he may have to operate as the lead back for the Giants, he’ll be in the low-end RB2/RB3/flex conversation in leagues with 12 or more teams.
