Gardner Minshew, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars

Minshew aired it out a little more against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, as he went 26-of-44 for 374 yards and two touchdowns and also added 42 yards on seven carries. He now has multiple passing touchdowns without an interception in three straight games, and has delivered over 16 fantasy points (Yahoo! scoring) in all five of his games thus far.

From Week 6-Week 9, with four teams on a bye in three of those weeks, Minshew gets a solid set of matchups against the New Orleans Saints, Cincinnati Bengals, New York Jets and Houston Texans. But he also just topped 370 yards against the Panthers, who entered Week 5 allowing the seventh-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks (Yahoo! scoring).

Minshew is looking like a fine bye week fill-in over the next few weeks, and a starter in two quarterback leagues. Keep an eye on when Nick Foles will return from a collarbone injury, Week 11 at last check, but “Minshew Mania” may very last all season as a high-end QB2/low-end QB1 for fantasy owners.
