The calendar is flipping to October on Monday, and Week 5 on the NFL schedule is coming. Bye weeks are in play now, so fantasy football owners have to be looking to the waiver wire for roster depth.

With that, here are nine early must-adds from your Week 5 fantasy football waiver wire.

Nyheim Hines, RB, Indianapolis Colts

Hines still isn’t doing much on the ground (four carries for 10 yards on Sunday), but he had nine receptions for 63 yards and two touchdowns against the Houston Texans in Week 4 as he tied for the team lead in targets with 11. The rookie out of North Carolina State has a least five targets in three of four games this season.

Even when/if Marlon Mack is on the field, Hines has a stable role in the Colts backfield as Andrew Luck can’t regularly threaten opposing secondaries downfield. Indianapolis’ next three opponents (New England Patriots, New York Jets, Buffalo Bills) entered Week 4 in the bottom half of the league in receptions allowed to running backs.

Hines’ ownership rates haven’t moved much. But as bye weeks go on, his value in PPR formats can’t be underestimated.
