Week 4 is nearly in the books on the NFL schedule, and as the first month of the season fades and bye weeks start to ramp up fantasy football owners are left to take stock of the rosters.
Looking to Week 5, here are nine early must-adds off your fantasy football waiver wire.
Golden Tate, WR, New York Giants
Sunday’s game against the Washington Redskins was the last of Tate’s four-game suspension to start the season. He was worth an early add last week, but now heading into his first game he’s a must-add.
Tate had a down year by his previous standard in 2018, with 74 receptions for 795 yards and four touchdowns as he played for two teams (Lions and Eagles). But he was still a WR3 for fantasy purposes, finishing as WR34 in standard scoring and WR29 in full-point PPR. He had at least 90 catches in each of the previous four seasons, with over 1,000 yards in three of those campaigns. In those four seasons, in full-point PPR scoring, he finished as WR11 (2014), WR24 (2015), WR17 (2016) and WR13 (2017).
Tate’s ownership rates have risen some since last week. But there’s still plenty of room to add a legit high-end WR2 in PPR formats from here on out.
