Jameis Winston, QB, New Orleans Saints

Winston didn’t put up huge yardage (148) Sunday against the Green Bay Packers in a shocking blowout win for the Saints. But he had five touchdown passes, and he did not turn the ball over while adding 37 rushing yards on his way to nearly 30 fantasy points. A Week 2 matchup looks solid.

The Carolina Panthers sacked Zach Wilson six times on Sunday. But they also allowed 258 passing yards and two touchdowns to the New York Jets rookie signal caller, as he posted a decent fantasy day (18.32 points; ESPN scoring).

Winston is going to throw the ball more than the 20 times he did on Sunday going forward, and he won’t go turnover-less all season. He also won’t throw five touchdowns every week, but split the differences and you still have a viable QB2 with Week 1 upside some weeks.
