Zach Zenner, RB, Detroit Lions

Zenner had eight carries for 45 yards and two catches for 22 yards against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, with most of that rushing production coming on a 29-yard run early in the game. But there’s no way he should have had fewer carries than LeGarrette Blount (11 carries for 29 yards), and in Week 17 things should correct.

The Green Bay Packers entered Week 17 in top half of the league against running backs (ESPN PPR scoring). But they have allowed multiple touchdowns to the position in three of their last four games and at least 75 total yards to a lead back (Jordan Howard, Elijah McGuire in back-to-back games.

With nothing to play for in Week 17, the Lions should give Zenner plenty of run. Blount and Theo Riddick linger as touchdown and passing game vultures respectively, but I’m putting Zenner out there as a viable plug-and-play flex option for Week 17.
