Week 12 of the 2018 NFL season is almost over, so fantasy football owners can start to shift focus to Week 13. It’s either the last or second-to-last week of the regular season in fantasy leagues, so waiver wire additions are made with an eye on depth and particularly good matchups for a given week as some players trend up at the right time.
Here are nine must-adds from your fantasy football waiver wire in Week 13.
Josh Adams, RB, Philadelphia Eagles
Weeks of promise finally bloomed for Adams on Sunday against the New York Giants, as he finished with 22 carries for 84 yards and a touchdown. Corey Clement was also productive on Sunday with 76 total yards, but he had just seven touches. Adams produced as the lead back, and there’s no reason for the Eagles to go away from him in a substantial way.
The only thing holding Adams back looks to be a fairly tough schedule. But it may not be as tough as it looks, with the Washington Redskins (Week 13, Week 17) and Houston Texans (Week 15) being more generous to running backs lately, and the Los Angeles Rams (Week 16) can be run on.
Adams may lose a little something in PPR leagues if Clement siphons catches, but he should be added as a RB2/RB3 in leagues with 12 or more teams.
