Week 11 is nearly in the books right now, so there’s no more than three weeks left in the fantasy football regular season. Week 12 of course brings Thanksgiving and three early games, so lineups have to set in earnest a little sooner in most cases. Week 12 is also, mercifully, the final week of byes for this year.
Whether you’re trying to make a playoff push, trying to keep momentum with a playoff spot secured or resigned to eventually competing for a consolation bracket, here are nine must-adds from your Week 12 fantasy football waiver wire.
Keke Coutee, WR, Houston Texans
Coutee returned from a hamstring injury Sunday against the Washington Redskins, and he finished with five catches for a team-high 77 yards (on a team-high nine targets). He has at least five targets in all four games he has finished thus far in his rookie season, with at least seven targets three times.
Demaryius Thomas only had one target on Sunday, and he’s not a threat to Coutee’s role in the slot anyway. Four of Houston’s next five opponents, the Tennesseee Titans (Week 12), Cleveland Browns (Week 13), New York Jets (Week 15) and Philadelphia Eagles (Week 16) entered Week 11 in the bottom-10 of the league against wide receivers (ESPN PPR scoring). The Jets (most), Browns (second-most) and Eagles (third-most) are the three most generous teams in receptions allowed to wide receivers.
Coutee’s value is greatest in PPR leagues, but now that (and as long as) he’s healthy he’s a solid WR3 in all scoring formats.
