Week 11 is already on the horizon for the 2018 NFL season, and fantasy football owners can take some solace in bye weeks almost being over. But Week 11 is also a six-team bye week, so roster depth will be tested in an important week for most people.
Waiver wire adds right can now start to be made with an eye on the fantasy playoffs, but most of us have to get there first. With that in mind, here are nine must-adds from your Week 11 fantasy football waiver wire.
Lamar Jackson, QB, Baltimore Ravens
Jackson has been deployed as a gadget player thus far in his rookie season. But with Joe Flacco (hip) looking iffy coming out of the Ravens’ Week 10 bye, and despite a report suggesting Robert Grifffin III would step in instead, Jackson is in line to make the first starts of his NFL career.
As was applied to Flacco previously, the schedule lines up for Jackson to succeed if (when?) he takes over. The Cincinnati Bengals (Week 11), Oakland Raiders (Week 12), Atlanta Falcons (Week 13), Kansas City Chiefs (Week 14) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Week 15) were five of the bottom-seven against quarterbacks (ESPN scoring) entering Week 10, which stands to be about as good as it’ll get for a fantasy quarterback over those weeks. That would have been the case for Flacco, and Jackson adds dynamic running ability to the equation.
Clarity on Flacco should come early in the week, and a report Sunday morning was somehow optimistic. But it’s hard to see him lasting long trying to play through a bum hip, so Jackson is well worth adding (and stashing for a bit, if it comes to that) in all fantasy leagues.
