Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Miami Dolphins

Dolphins head coach Brian Flores can talk out of both sides of his mouth all he wants, but once Tagovailoa came into Week 10 against the Baltimore Ravens nothing about his performance (8-for-13 for 158 yards, with a 64-yard completion) or the way he was otherwise used (a short rushing score on a keeper) suggests the fractured finger on his throwing hand was a big issue.

Flores would not (and probably won’t all week) commit to Tagovailoa as the starter for Week 11 against the New York Jets. But if Jacoby Brissett was truly healthy enough to come back in against Baltimore and didn’t, there’s no charade to protect if Tagovailoa is (or will be) no worse for the wear.

It’s a good matchup against the Jets, and Tagovailoa would get a second game against them in Week 15. Week 13 (New York Giants) and Week 17 (Tennessee Titans) could make him fantasy-viable too.

As a QB2 in 12 and 14-team leagues, Tagovailoa is a viable add on the assumption he has the starting job back.
