Darnell Mooney, WR, Chicago Bears

Before a Week 10 bye, Mooney had three catches (on six targets) for 41 yards and a touchdown along with a 15-yard rushing touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Justin Fields has spoken of the work he and Mooney did behind the scenes, and it’s bearing some fruit with at least six targets in four of the last six games.

In parallel with his quarterback, Mooney has mostly good but-not necessarily great matchups from Week 11-17 (Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions, Arizona Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks, New York Giants). But also in parallel with Fields, there’s a lot of upside.

Mooney is not a locked-in every week fantasy starter, even as a WR3 in leagues with 12 or more teams. But in those same leagues, he’s worth stashing as a WR4 to see what happens going forward.
