Austin Hooper, TE, Cleveland Browns

With the benefit of a Week 9 bye, Hooper only missed two games after undergoing an appendectomy and he returned to a promising Week 10 matchup against the Houston Texans. But the wind in Cleveland stifled both passing games on Sunday, and Hooper wound up with one catch (for 11 yards) on two targets.

The Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars both held opposing tight ends on Sunday, with weather conditions playing a role for sure. But both teams entered Week 10 in the bottom-five of the league against tight ends (Yahoo! 0.5-point PPR scoring). They are both sure to exit the week still in the bottom-10 against the position, and Hooper gets them back-to-back in Week 11 and Week 12.

Week 13 against the Tennessee Titans and Week 14 against the Baltimore Ravens are tougher matchups for Hooper, but they are both mid-pack fantasy defenses against tight ends. Week 16 against the New York Jets, with the prospect of winter weather to note, looks like a promising matchup.

The shallow pool that is tight end put Hooper on the radar immediately upon his return to action, and he delivered a dud. But he still has the look of a TE1 down the stretch, with a ownership rate that makes it worth checking on his availability in your league (and adding him without hesitation if he is).
