Los Angeles Rams running back coach Skip Peete believes that running back Todd Gurley needs to work on his pass protection.“They’ve all come into the league comfortable as a runner. But that aspect of it is a little bit different than you’re accustomed to coming out of college,” said Peete. “He and I talk about that all the time—your ability to completely understand the blocking scheme, whether it’s run or pass.” Peete also hinted at limiting Gurley’s snaps moving forward. However, if he can improve his pass protection, defenses will be less likely to key on the times when he runs, allowing him to vastly improve his YPC average. He is an excellent buy low candidate.
