On the court for 28 minutes in Thursday night’s home win over the Magic, Stephen Curry went 8-for-15 from the field, including 2-for-7 from three-point range. He also contributed nine assists and stole the ball three times.
Curry snapped a recent shooting slump, as he was given less responsibility in an easier environment. He is still the focal point of the offense but, for the moment at least, Steve Kerr appears to have empowered Klay Thompson with the lead shooting duties. This is designed to get the Warriors back on track, after some uncharacteristic losses in the absence of Kevin Durant. Stephen Curry should continue to improve in coming games, and hit his peak in the next few weeks. Start him with confidence.
