Daily Fantasy Sports has taken the industry by storm. It’s fast, fun and it’s got all of the thrills of an entire season crammed into a weekend or a single day. If you’ve hung around the BrunoBoys.net site then you’ll see mention of DFS Fantasy Football. Each week we are going to be analyzing the field to see where bargains can be found to maximize the potential of your DFS lineup.
For quarterbacks, the top end of the field usually sits in a range of $6,000 to $8,000 which accounts for 12 to 16% of your $50K budget. Now, Defense and Special Teams cost $2,000 to $4,000 (4% to 8%) So after you select your quarterback and defense, (16% to 24%) you’re left to spend on seven players.
There’s nothing wrong with spending that much for a quarterback but another strategy is to find a quarterback that’s cheaper that will add an additional $1,000 to $2,000 to spend on other skill positions. Here’s the best of what’s available at that sweet price point, this week’s DraftKings Quarterback Bargains.
Kirk Cousins, QB, Washington Redskins vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Some may be scared off this week by the fact that the Philadelphia Eagles defense ranked 8th against opposing quarterback’s last season. This leaves a great opportunity to snag Cousins as a value play outside of the top-5 priced QB’s on Draft Kings for week 1. Cousin’s actually faired well last season in two games against the Eagles averaging 249 yards and 2 touchdowns. In what will be a competitive game, fire Cousins up as a top option for Week 1.
