Drafting your fantasy football team is the easy part, now comes the hard part, knowing who and when to start your players on any given week. Sure, it’s easy to decide what to do with your studs, but at Bruno Boys Fantasy Football, we concentrate on giving our readers start and sit advice about players who are at the middle to lower down the rankings. If you assembled your team on the strength of positions other than the one we’re highlighting in this article, chances are you have players where you have to consider the best matchups, the skill players around them, the strength of the opposing defense and their health. Here are our recommendations on who to sit.
Tennessee Titans DST vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
The Niners may have performed a spell on the Jaguars in Week 16, which may make a few ones out there pause to consider the Titans who aren’t half bad when their pass rush takes control of a game like in Weeks 12 and 14, but when it’s not getting to the quarterback, which has been too often to count, it struggles. The secondary is too young and inexperienced and is just working to keep the receivers in front of them, and that’s contributed to the low interception total and turnovers in general have been a rarity. If you can’t pop that ball loose, other things like defensive touchdowns are less likely to happen. That’s exactly what describes the Titans defense this year, as they’re good enough to be right there, but not good enough to dominate. So even an offense, like Jacksonville’s, whose identity is still fragile, can weather this defense down without any risk-takers or dynamic play makers. – Ernie Estrella
