The 2017 NFL season is just five weeks old and while many might think it’s premature to start picking up people from their fantasy football waiver wire, they are wrong. Every year a no name blows up in Week 1 and ends up being a top-20 fantasy football player over the remainder of the season. So, instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.

Coming into Week 6 fresh off their bye week, the Washington Redskins look like a solid defense to consider streaming in Week 6. Despite the fact that they will most likely be without top cornerback, Josh Norman, the Redskins still boast a solid defensive unit and shouldn’t have a hard time handling the 49ers without Norman. While the 49ers are more in the middle of the pack, giving up the 17th most points to fantasy defenses, they have turned it over at least once in 4-of-5 games this season and have scored under 20 points in 3-of-5 weeks as well. With running back, Carlos Hyde, looking banged up and potentially falling out of favor, that doesn’t leave the 49ers offense with many threats outside of Pierre Garcon. If you are looking for a streaming option this week, the Redskins could provide a solid option that can be plucked off the waiver wire.
