The 2017 NFL season is just one week old and while many might think it’s premature to start picking up people from their fantasy football waiver wire, they are wrong. Every year a no name blows up in Week 1 and ends up being a top-20 fantasy football players over the remainder of the season. So, instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.
Let’s get things started by taking at some fantasy football waiver wire Quarterbacks for Week 2.
Sam Bradford, QB, Minnesota Vikings
Yahoo! Ownership: 25%
Known largely for his dink and dunk style of play, Sam Bradford put those talks to bed on Monday Night Football putting on an absolute clinic against a helpless Saints defense. Nearing perfection, Bradford completed 27-of-32 passes for 346 yards and 3 touchdowns. Bradford also managed more passes of 20+ yards than any week last season.
It’s easy to point to poor defense as the key factor in this one, but Bradford flat out looked great. Entering a contract year, Bradford has been given everything he needs to succeed this season. With a much improved offensive line and a solid run game led by rookie, Dalvin Cook, the Vikings looked like a force to be reckoned with. Bradford has been gifted by far one of the easiest schedules for quarterbacks this season, facing only 2 teams inside the top-10 in pass defense and 7 teams in the bottom 10. With this performance being on the main stage of a Monday night affair, expect there to be a surge to pick him up this week, make sure you’re in front of the line.
