The 2017 NFL season is 15 weeks old and while many might think it’s premature to start picking up people from their fantasy football waiver wire, they are wrong. Every year a no name blows up in Week 1 and ends up being a top-20 fantasy football player over the remainder of the season. So, instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.
Josh Lambo, K, Jacksonville Jaguars
ESPN Ownership: 26%
Yahoo! Ownership: 27%
In eight games as the Jaguars’ place kicker, Lambo is 17-for-18 on field goals and 19-for-20 on extra points. He has posted at least nine fantasy points (Yahoo! scoring) in three straight games.
The San Francisco 49ers have been much better lately, but they still entered last week in the bottom half of the league against kickers (ESPN scoring). Then Titans kicker Ryan Succop had a nice day in Week 15, going 3-for-3 on field goals including makes from 40 and 50 yards out.
Jacksonville should be able to move the ball well on Sunday. So Lambo will have some opportunities to produce.
