For running backs, there is a wide range of backs worth playing from $10,000 to $16,000 which could run anywhere from $20K to $45 of your $90K budget (22% to 50%), if you get a third running back in as a flex. As a reminder, Kickers cost $5,000 to $6,000 (5%-7%) and Defense and Special Teams cost $3,500 to $6,0000 (4% to 7%), combined your kicker and defense is going to account for 9% to 13% of your budget.
So after you select your running backs, kicker and defense (45% to 63%), you’re left to spend $33,300 to $49,500 on four or five players depending on if you fill your flex with a running back, which is never a bad option when you consider backs who have a high volume of touches at a bargain price. To do that you’ll need to have at least one bargain back, priced between $6,000 to $10,000. Here’s the best of what’s available at that sweet price point, this week’s DFS Running Back Bargains.
Jonathan Stewart, RB, Carolina Panthers vs. New Orleans Saints
Stewart underperformed the last two weeks, gaining only 81 yards off of 28 carries for a 2.9 ypc average. That’s ugly, but he’s got relief coming up in the form of the Saints, who’re allowing 107.9 rushing yards and specifically, running backs to score over 20 fantasy points each game.

Now, New Orleans has been playing better team defense in the last month but if we look back at Week 6 when these two teams played last, Stewart had 85 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Even if he gets half of that production, for this price, that’s a bargain.
