At Bruno Boys, we like to take a deeper look at a handful of Key Matches and see where the most intriguing battles of the week are and where the struggle for points will come. The winner of these head-to-head standoffs will either lead to memorable fantasy box score or a big denial of points. Here are some of the league’s more fascinating bouts of the Wild Card Round and understanding which side is likely to win can help you optimize your traditional fantasy team roster or help you find that deep well of points for your daily fantasy football contests.

Seattle Seahawks Quarterback Russell Wilson vs. Detroit Lions Secondary

With Seattle’s run game struggling, the Seahawks have turned to Wilson to carry the load on offense. He’s attempted 32 or more passes in six of his last seven games and has surpassed 250 passing yards in four of his last five. Detroit’s secondary, meanwhile, hasn’t been very good this season, as they finished 19th in pass defense, and opposing quarterbacks had a 106.5 passer rating against them, the highest number in the league. The Lions also allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. If you have Wilson, start him this week and don’t think twice.
