At Bruno Boys, we like to take a deeper look at a handful of Key Matches and see where the most intriguing battles of the week are and where the struggle for points will come. The winner of these head-to-head standoffs will either lead to memorable fantasy box score or a big denial of points. Here are some of the league’s more fascinating bouts of the Championship Round and understanding which side is likely to win can help you optimize your traditional fantasy team roster or help you find that deep well of points for your daily fantasy football contests.

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount vs. Pittsburgh Steelers front seven

Blount had just eight carries for 31 yards in last week’s win over the Texans, but that was most likely a case of the Patriots playing it safe with one of their best players, as he was dealing with an illness. Blount seems likely to return to a full workload on Sunday, and he’ll take on the Steelers run defense, which ranked 13th. Blount is nearly unstoppable near the goal line and led the league with 18 rushing touchdowns, and he’s also a powerful runner between the tackles. Look for Blount to have a solid game against an average Steelers run defense.
