The 2016 NFL season is 15 weeks old and the time is now to start picking up players from your fantasy football waiver wire to help make a playoff push. Every year a no name blows up in at the start of the season and ends up being a top-20 fantasy football players over the remainder of the season. So, instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.
Let’s get things started by taking at some fantasy football waiver wire Quarterbacks for Week 16.
Sam Bradford, QB, Minnesota Vikings
Owned in 12% of Yahoo Leagues
Bradford went 32-for-42 for 291 yards with an interception against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, and he has now topped 290 yards in back-to-back games with at least 37 pass attempts in seven of the last nine games.
Week 16 brings a matchup against the Green Bay Packers, the team Bradford made his first start for the Vikings against way back in Week 2. In that game Bradford threw for 286 yards and two touchdowns, though the offensive line in front of him was not in shambles like it is now.
In Week 17, Bradford will get a tougher than expected matchup against the Chicago Bears. But a big part of that is a lack of pass volume, as six straight quarterbacks have had 36 or less pass attempts against the Bears. That won’t be the case for Bradford, with Minnesota’s ineptitude running the ball this season.
Bradford is on the streaming radar in each of the final two weeks, and he’s starter material in two-quarterback leagues. Don’t expect greatness, but fantasy-relevant numbers are not out of reach. — Brad Berreman
