The 2016 NFL season is 12 weeks old and the time is now to start picking up people from their fantasy football waiver wire in order to make a playoff push. Every year a no name blows up in over the first few weeks of the season and ends up being a top-20 fantasy football player over the remainder of the season. So, instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.
Let’s get things started by taking a look at some fantasy football waiver wire Wide Receivers for Week 13.
Malcolm Mitchell, WR, New England Patriots
Owned in 3% of Yahoo Leagues
Mitchell had a huge game in the Patriots’ win over the Jets, catching five of his seven targets for 42 yards and two touchdowns. He now has a touchdown in two straight games after he caught one last week against the 49ers. New England’s offense is starting to open up, and Tom Brady is looking his way a lot more often.

In terms of future matchups, there are a few tough ones coming up for Mitchell, including the Rams, Ravens and Broncos, who are all in the top 10 in passing defense, but after that he’ll get the Jets again. However, don’t be surprised if Mitchell is able to put up some solid numbers, especially with usual red zone threats Rob Gronkowski and Martellus Bennett injured. — Christoph Ludwig
