The 2016 NFL season is 10 weeks old and the time is now to start picking up people from their fantasy football waiver wire in order to make a playoff push. Every year a no name blows up in over the first few weeks of the season and ends up being a top-20 fantasy football player over the remainder of the season. So, instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.

Meredith is now the de facto no. 1 receiver in Chicago after Alshon Jeffrey was suspended four games for PED use. There have not been many instances where Meredith played and Jeffrey wasn’t on the field and barely have come this season, so it’s hard to judge the effects, but Meredith will undoubtedly benefit from Jeffrey’s absence.

Meredith showed some early flashed of prominence early in the season as the wideout had an impressive two week stretch when quarterback Brian Hoyer was under center. While it’s Jay Cutler now, Meredith should see plenty of targets with the Bears likely trailing often.
The Bears will take on the Giants this week, who are 15th in pass defense and are in the bottom half of the league in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers. This is a good matchup for Meredith, and his increase in targets should lead to an increase in production. — Christoph Ludwig
