The 2016 NFL season is nine weeks old and the time is now to start picking up people from their fantasy football waiver wire in order to make a playoff push. Every year a no name blows up in over the first few weeks of the season and ends up being a top-20 fantasy football player over the remainder of the season. So, instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.
Rishard Matthews, WR, Tennessee Titans
Owned in 31% of Yahoo Leagues
Matthews put together his best game of the season in Week 9. He burned the San Diego Chargers for 6 receptions, 63 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns in a loss and now has 10 receptions for 101 yards and 3 touchdowns over the last two games. With quarterback Marcus Mariota continuing to elevate his game, Matthews is reaping the benefits and we see this relationship continuing to develop as the season carries on.

Matthews has five touchdown passes since Week 5 and has scored in four of his last five games. The Titans will continue to score points and be in shootouts over the Rest of Season (ROS) and Matthews has excellent matchups against the Green Bay Packers (Week 10), Indianapolis Colts (Week 11) and a mediocre matchup with the Chicago Bears (Week 12). After a Week 13 bye, the schedule gets tougher for Matthews until Week 16 (Super Bowl Week in Fantasy Football) against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Matthews is a must add during bye week and until his Week 13 bye. — Marc Caviglia
