Alshon Jeffery, Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys

If you look at the types of receivers that give the Cowboys fits, it’s the ones that do their damage in the slot and can get yardage after the catch. New teammate Golden Tate did exactly that against the Cowboys back in Week 4, when he caught eight passes for 132 yards and two touchdowns in Dallas. The Eagles will be eager to try out their new toy and take the pressure off of Jeffery who has been up and down with his yardage since returning at the end of September. Now the traditional X receiver, like Jeffery has struggled whether it’s Odell Beckham Jr., Corey Davis, or Devin Funchess, Dallas has kept those receivers under wraps. So Jeffery’s good enough to get at least WR2 numbers but it wouldn’t surprise us if he falls short of even Flex standards, so for that, we’ll sit him down for a week and see how the distribution between him, Nelson Agholor and Tate shake out.
