Case Keenum, Denver Broncos vs. Houston Texans

Losing to the New York Giants in Week 3 was a real low point for the Texans but since then, they’ve turned up the defense and smothered the competition, going 5-0 and their defense has looked strong while doing it. Since Week 5, the Texans defense has not allowed a single quarterback to reach 250 yards passing, nor complete more than one touchdown pass in a game. The secondary has played better too, picking off the quarterback six times over the last five weeks. As for Keenum, has been consistent for the Broncos and in most cases, he gets you enough to get by but he continues to commit costly turnovers and the Texans are a team where you want to minimize the risk.

As a side note, I realize that Demaryius Thomas wasn’t the receiver he used to be but he still required a quality defender to be assigned to him. We haven’t seen what Courtland Sutton can do when he has teams game plan for him. That’s not saying he still can’t do well, but we just haven’t seen how good the kid can be and whether or not he candy the things Thomas did to help out his quarterback and the run game.
