Blake Bortles, Jacksonville Jaguars vs. New York Jets

We’re not sure what to make of Bortles’ month so far, but that Week 2 game against the Patriots is looking more and more like an anomaly. After flying high and throwing for 376 and four touchdowns, Bortles crashed for 155 yards and no scores against the Titans. For a week, we we were all fooled into thinking he turned the corner, but he’s as much of a boom or bust than he ever was. Now he’s facing the Jets, who despite all the jokes made at their expense have done well to contain the quarterback, holding them to just 218.3 yards per game. There has been just three total touchdowns thrown against the Jets so unless Bortles has one of his outlier games against a quality defense, he’s going to revert back to the pumpkin that he usually is. – Ernie Estrella
