San Diego Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson’s much anticipated 2010 debut in Week 12 came to an abrupt end when he strained his calf during pregame warmups. Although Jackson played a few snaps against the Indianapolis Colts, he failed to register a single target or reception. It came out after Jackson left Sunday’s game that he had injured his groin during the Friday practice session that did not appear on the team’s pre-game injury report. Jackson supposedly strained the calf while attempting to overcompensate for the groin problem. The Chargers announced that Jackson is likely to miss two weeks at least. The situation is hugely disappointing for fantasy owners who drafted Jackson and stashed in the hopes that he’d pay dividends during the fantasy playoff stretch or those who snatched him from the waiver wire. At this point it would be hard to recommend that owners start Jackson even if he is able to return in Week 15.
