This is an 8-Team Yahoo! league…pretty weak I know but a couple of guys flaked out because of the buy-in.  I went into this draft going for nothing but upside since I normally draft conservatively…plus it is 8 teams for crying out loud.  I see my team as slightly risky but full of potential.  Tell me what you think so I can make some moves before the season starts if needed.

8-Team, Standard scoring, Start 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 3 Flex(WR/RB), 1 TE, 1 Def, 1 K, 6 Bench

QB: Romo / Flacco
RB: C. Johnson / Jamaal / Mathews / Foster / Barber
WR: Roddy / Jennings / Bowe / Maclin
TE: ZachM / Owen
Def: Min / Atl
K: Kaeding

Nope, Floyd is gone.  I targeted him but waited one round too late.  I plan on picking up another WR after week 1…..I drafted Minnesota’s D without realizing they play the Saints week 1.  Atlanta’s D is a one week play and then I am targeting one of these waiver wire guys.

WR:
Sidney Rice, Dexter McCluster, Aromashodu, Hester, Jacoby, Roy Williams, Breaston, Eddie Royal, Britt, Edelman, Devin Thomas, Kevin Walter

RB:
Hardesty, Donald Brown, Slaton, Kevin Smith

Who would be the better pickup in this ridiculously small league?

I think you’re team is pretty awesome…Your starting Lineup is

Romo/Flacco
CJ
Roddy
Jennings
JC
Matthews/Foster/Bowe (prolly gonna be matthews mostly and sometimes foster…hardly ever bowe)
Miller/Daniels
MIN
Kaeding (Best kicker in the game IMO)

That Being said, I would prolly target Aromashodu and see how he does against the Lions…if he has a big game which he prolly will, he could be great trade bait or a great WR3/WR4…I would drop maclin for him just because I can’t see you ever using maclin unless DJax goes out for the season…After week 1 I would drop ATL and pick up Rice just in case he comes back strong when he gets back from surgery…if you did that you could end up with 4 or 5 WR1/WR2s by the end of the season and that my friend would be a thing of beauty

If you’re going for potential, grab Eddie Royal. He’s a third year WR and could break out with out a true no.1 WR in denver. Gaffney is good but come on, he’s not exactly Brandon Marshall

Thanks for the help!  This is going to be an interesting league with all of these stacked teams.
