One of my leagues has 16 teams, so we have to reach really deep to get the best value we can.  That being said, I need help at RB and WR.  My drafted team is shown below.  What can I do to try and improve my team?  I know Antonio Bryant was just dropped by Cin, any chance he gets picked up and becomes relevant, or shoud he be dropped for good?  What about a WR from StL since Avery went down (L. Robinson is taken)?  What about M. Bush’s future now that he had surgery (DMC is taken)?  Any other upcoming WR or RB that have had a good preseason and could help me out during the season?  Come on Bruno Boys, you’re my ace in the hole here…  We play QB, RB, RB, RB/WR, WR, WR, TE, K, D/ST.

QB       Brett Favre, Min QB P
RB       Rashard Mendenhall, Pit RB
RB         Michael Bush, Oak RB Q
RB/WR   Montario Hardesty, Cle RB P
WR       Randy Moss, NE WR
WR       Robert Meachem, NO WR
TE         Antonio Gates, SD TE
D/ST     Eagles D/ST, Phi D/ST
K           Dan Carpenter, Mia K
Bench   Matthew Stafford, Det QB
Bench   Jerricho Cotchery, NYJ WR
Bench   Tashard Choice, Dal RB
Bench   Jason Snelling, Atl RB
Bench   Antonio Bryant, Cin WR Q
Bench   Leonard Weaver, Phi RB
Bench   Nate Washington, Ten WR P

I would deep six Bryant for good. He’s damaged goods.
What WR and RB are on the waiver wire in your league? Its proly slim pickings.

Deep RB that come to mind are Kareem Huggins TB, Ryan Torrain Was, Chris Ivory NO, Jeremiah Johnson HOU, BTW none of these guys are relevant if the starter doesn’t first become injured. However, Caddy has had knee issues, Portis isn’t a stranger to the injury report as well as P. Thomas and Reggie Bush. So those may be better bets.

DeepWR Louis Murphy OAK, Mike Williams TB, Greg Camarillo, MINN, Mike Thomas JAC

Again it would be a lot easier if I knew what was available

Thanks.  I’m thinking about dropping Bryant and picking up Huggins (TB).  As far as WR, Murphy and Williams are gone.  What about any of the WR in StL (Amendola, Gibson, Gilyard)?  It’s hard to list who is available because it’s difficult to get ESPN to list them on a single page.

I really can’t offer anything nice to say about any of those guys. I think all those guys will have similar stat lines and they won’t be good.
I’m biased on this one, but with D’onte Stallworth out for 9 weeks what about Mark Clayton BAL.
Is James Jones GB available?
Good luck with your choice.

is Dexter McCluster available? He is a hybrid WR/RB on KC with big play potential.

BLACK BIRD, THANKS for bringing K. Huggins to my attention!  TB just cut D. Ward, so now Huggins is the clear #2.  GREAT recommendation.

Yeah, great call Blackbird. Just heard a report that Huggins just overshadowed Ward, like he was just far and away quicker than him. With Caddy tending to break down often, Huggins could be a serious sleeper. Depends a lot on what Freeman can do with this Tampa Bay offense. Good pick up

A sleeper WR i like is Mike Williams for the Seahawks. He was a stud at USC and now Pete Carroll bas brought him back and he’s looking legit.
