Servo - Let me go ahead and give you a quick analysis of each player available in terms of a dynasty league. From there you can do what you want with it….
Fred Davis - I like Davis a lot but Cooley is returning and your current tight ends (Witten, Finley, Carlson) have more immediate and long term value.
Jason Snelling - I’m tempted by Snelling. At times he showed signs of being able to produce when filling in for Michael Turner. However, I wouldn’t dump him for any of your RBs and the only guys I’d considering dumping for him is Chris Chambers or Mike Thomas.
Fred Taylor - Over the hill. Not the type of player you want to snag in a Dynasty league.
Trent Edwards - No guarantees the job is his in Buffalo and did nothing but disappoint in 2009.
Ryan Moats - Marginal value at best. Will never be a true starter and enters 2010 behind Foster and Slaton.
Le’Ron McClain - Lack of opportunity in 2009 led to his decreased value. Good around the RZ but not worthy of a roster spot.
Plaxico Burress - There could be some value but it’s likely to come in 2011 because Burress is in jail and won’t be ready to go in 2010.
Earl Bennett - You own Knox and Aromashadu and with Mike Martz as the OC this offense will be even more pass happy in 2010. Hard to predict which wide out gets the secondary targets behind Devin Hester in 2010. I like Aromashadu and Knox’s upside more than Bennett.
3rd round tender FA (I would give up a 3rd round pick this year)
Justin Fargas - Not worth giving up a 3rd round pick for in 2010. He is behind Bush and McFadden entering 2010.
Josh Morgan - Didn’t really pan out as planned in 2009 but still has some value and the 49ers passing offense should be better next season. I like him more than Mike Thomas, Chris Chambers (long term value) and to a certain extent Johnny Knox. What type of talent do you forecast being available in the 3rd round of your rookie/free agent draft?
Ted Ginn - Bust. Had flashes of turning the corner in 2009 but the Dolphins will continue to run the ball until Ricky retires and Brown ends his career due to injury. Not even the best wide out on his team.
Justin Gage - No thanks. A touchdown here, a touchdown there and not much else. He’s reached his ceiling and you don’t want to snag players like that in Dynasty Leagues.
I hope this helps you get a better idea of my thoughts on the available players in your Dynasty League and based on your current roster the most drop able players are…
Mike Thomas, Chris Chambers, Johnny Knox, Rashard Jennings, Mike Bell, Julius Jones, LenDale White.
However, I feel that only Josh Morgan and Jason Snelling are worth considering making a transaction for.
Keep us posted on what you end up doing…
