So who has players left that’s been commenting back and forth all day.  I’d imagine Playa Slaya is relying on some JETS players as we speak.

My lone option left is the San Diego Chargers D/ST. This means I will likely drop some in the current standings but should be within striking distance with two weeks to go!

I’ve got Chargers D/ST and Gates. Trying to get back on the first page. Important point for all to remember…the rosters lock for the final time next weekend, so pick players you think will be in the superbowl, as you don’t get a chance to pick them again after that.

This game has to get better in the second half! We are still in it as it isn’t a blow out. Plus Rex will give a Hell of a Half Time motivational speech!

This game could go either way Playa Slaya. New York needs to put some points on the board on their opening drive of the second half. Neither team is really moving the football but the Chargers passing attack is surprisingly doing better than many thought.  Should be a great second half and one that could be decided late.  Keep your fingers crossed!

WOW.  Two touchdowns in a four minute span and now a 10 point lead for your Jets with seven minutes to play.  New York is hitting the soft Chargers in the mouth and they have NO answer for it.  Seven more minutes Playa Slaya!

Cavigs, I think Norv Turner heard you. That ended up a lot closer than it looked like it was going to. Go Jets for pulling it off though. Amazing.

At least I feel better about my beloved colts next week. Though the Jets will be out to prove that they deserved the win that helped get them into the playoffs, its Peyton Manning. Colts-Saints superbowl on the way everybody.

Tell me about it. Turned out to be the best game of the weekend. I had a feeling New York could go into San Diego and get the job done. That is why I took them in my predictions this week. Also, congrats on being No.2 overall in the Playoff Challenge entering the AFC/NFC Championship week.

Thanks! Congrats to you too. 13 out of 309 ain’t too shabby. I can’t believe how close it is, even with over 300 people in it. Did I read right that whatever roster we pick for next week, we have to keep that same roster for the Superbowl?

thats correct jbdsm…rosters lock for the last time next weekend, so pick players who you think will be in the superbowl…winners only may apply. I’m guessing if you have a guy from each team in a match on your roster, the one from the team that wins moves on and the other gives you a nice vacant, non producing slot on your roster for the big show. Best of luck next week since you are in the thick of it…I’m too far out of it now to make any real run at something resembling the top 10 but I’ll try my best to get on the front page in the top 40.

JBDSM - Thanks for the props as well.  Lots of Forum members faring well and in the Top 50 from what I can see. It just shows that the regulars around the Bruno Boys Nation community get an insight from talking all week in the Forum.

The AFC/NFC Championship round will be the last time you set your lineups. Therefore you need to be extra careful when picking your players this week. There are a few different approaches to take entering this upcoming week and it should be interesting to see how it all plays out. I’d tell everyone my approach to this but that wouldn’t be fun and I’ve got a title to win!

Best of Luck next week,

With this being a popular Thread in the Forum I wanted to introduce a new section in the Forum to all of you.  We are starting what is called a “2010 Player Projection” in which we name a player and you (the Bruno Boys Nation) projects his value for the 2010 season.  The first guy we are breaking down for 2010 is Donovan McNabb and you can participate in the community projection here….

http://brunoboys.net/forum/viewthread/3510/

The goal is do list a new player just about every day and for everyone to interact and start identifying 2010 fantasy value for some of these players immediately.

I like your attitude 3radc…give it your best shot next week and I hope to see you in the Top 40…the right combination of players and a little bit of luck can land you in a good spot…I wouldn’t have guessed when I set my roster this week that my second highest producing and best return on salary cap dollars this round would be Shonn Greene…a bargain at $4.7 million…and it’s thanks to his production that I’m still in it at the end of the Divisional Round…

Quick shout out to some favorite forum regulars who either maintained or improved their standings in the challenge…jbdsm…Mercury…CATSFAN (what the heck happened with Kaeding today?)...Black Tetra…Pickle…Mark G…Terbmagic…congrats and continued good luck in the Championship round!

Cavigs…we started this weekend with an 11 point difference in my favor and we ended this weekend in the same position…both of our teams produced 98 points…interesting when you consider that we had just three players in common….I know you’re gunning to overtake me as the top BBer…but don’t expect me to make it easy for you…be prepared and be sure to bring your A game next weekend…I’m already looking forward to it!

if I wouldn’t have whiffed on my running back picks (Mike Bell and Felix Jones a combined 9 points) then maybe I would’ve cracked the top 20. Hopefully I have some better luck for the next couple rounds.

Cory…congrats on the progress you made this week climbing the leaderboard and good luck in the next two rounds…my “whiff” turned out to be rolling with Miles Austin instead of Sidney Rice…I’m happy to have maintained my place in the top 10…but had I gone with Rice as I was leaning toward…I’d be sitting pretty in first place…and with the caliber of competition every point counts…seriously…who would have expected that every aspect of the Dallas game plan would tank against Minnesota?

So many of the popular plays this week didn’t deliver to potential or in some cases at all…and then there were those players that delivered to or exceeded expectations…Brees…Favre…Rice…Bush…Greene…Indy D…to name a few…the Championship Round should be interesting to say the least…

As I mentioned earlier, all the guys I picked were relative busts this past weekend. Beanie over Greene, Austin over Rice….Chargers over Jets D…oh and don’t forget billy cundiff = welcome to mediocreville.
