After further review, I’m in good shape.  I’m in the 19 slot with a full roster, 5 teams ahead of me also with full rosters, the rest have holes, some more than others.  I can’t win, but if I can make up some ground maybe I can make it into the top 10….or if my guys should crash and burn then maybe I will at least hold onto the front page.  I can see it now, low scoring defensive struggle with Lynell Hamilton and Hank Baskett getting all the points in the game…chaos in the Gridiron world.

That would be nice. A game with no offensive scoring would be awesome. A game with no scoring whatsoever would be even better. Here’s to a 3-0 Superbowl!

JBDSM & RSR1 - Keep on dreaming pal. When the Saints and Colts take the field on Super Bowl Sunday the scoreboard operator will be earning his money.  I’m predicting both teams score a touchdown in the first quarter and this game ends in the 34-27 range.  The last two Super Bowls have had good finishes and been good games and my feeling is this one will live up to the hype.

Best of Luck in the challenge and like many of you guys, I will be without five players (Favre, Peterson, Greene, Rice, Keller) on Super Bowl Sunday.  Go Colts!

Just checking in to see if everyone participating in the Bruno Boys Playoff Challenge is getting fired up for the Super Bowl on Sunday. It should be a great game and the fantasy implications surrounding this game should make it even more interesting.

Do any of you guys who are actively posting in this Forum Thread have a chance at winning the Playoff Challenge? it not winning it all what about finishing in the Top-3 and claiming one of the three Amazon.com Gift Cards?

Can you believe that after the final whistle blows on Sunday that the 2009 season is officially in the books? Talk about time flying when you’re having a good time!

I look forward to hearing back from everyone and Happy Super Bowl Sunday in advance!

Happy Super Bowl Sunday, BBC!
I have no chance, but I’ll still enjoy the game. Go Colts!

Good luck to all of you that are still in this thing!

I don’t think I have a chance at top 3 either…but I am gunning for page 1…we’ll see how high I get with a fully loaded team. Here’s hoping for an epic shootout and Colts win. Despite the nice story it would be to have New Orleans win a superbowl, if Peyton and co get this everybody who disagrees that Manning is the best quarterback to EVER play the game will have a much harder time making an argument. He already is the greatest QB in NFL History at only 33, but another superbowl win would help make that statement undisputed.

I’m at #19 with a full roster, but I don’t think I’ll make it to top 3.  There are 5 teams above me with full rosters, the others are all missing players.
Stating the obvious, moving up and down the list is really going to be dependent on which players get the points.  If your missing players, but the ones you have get points, it just makes it that much harder for anyone behind you to make up the difference, and if you have the same players then its a push.
Full rosters have to hope the extra players they have score a ton, and that the teams they are chasing don’t.  Least thats what I’m thinking, and I’m hoping for a shot at a top 10, an invite to the playboy mansion, a pass to ride shotgun with danica, a .....well I’ll skip a bunch here, this is a family forum….and a lifetime supply of skittles.

I feel the same as BBFG. I think the Saints are going to win by a field goal or less (1-3 points). It will be a close game the whole way and I foresee a very high score for both teams. In the end I predict the colts having to rely on the passing game a little too much and making mistakes. The saints are going to have a much better game on the ground and with special teams, and that will make the difference. Regardless of how it turns out though…hold on to your butts, cause it is sure to be an exciting one! I am currently at 56 on the list with only one player missing. I hope to crack the top 25. Doing so will make my year considering the slow start I got off to. Best of luck to all…hope to chat with everyone during the game.  cheese

Peyton Manning has had 2 weeks to look at tape of the Saint’s D. He demolished the best defense in the league and the Saints D is not the Jets D. Colts by 10: 34-24

Truth be told…I came into this competition wanting to know how I could fair against the Bruno Boys staff members. I enjoy going against people that really know their stuff and always look to find even the smallest edge. So far… I like my chances to beat all but 3….and possibly more.  tongue laugh Man!!....I love being the underdog! LOL

Crissy…you appear to be in an excellent position for a Top 3 finish and I’ll be rooting for you. Female fantasy football addicts have to stick together!

Of course I’m also sending good thoughts to our other forum regulars - Marc G., 3radc, rsr1, Black Tetra, Mercury, jbdsm and CATSFAN to name just a few…hope you all finish strong too.  I’m so glad we had the Playoff Challenge to extend the fantasy football season a longer. I’ve really enjoyed being a part of the Bruno Boys this season and I thank everyone for accepting me as one of the “boys.” We have a wonderful community here at BBFF and I’m already looking forward to next season. First things first…we have a Super Bowl to watch and a Playoff Challenge to finish…enjoy the game and good luck all!

Congrats on beating up on your husband all season long and faring so well in the playoff challenge. Like BBFG said, you have a great shot of being in the top three and if you do you can add an Amazon gift card to what seems to have been a great fantasy season.

Thanks for the props about Bruno Boys being the best and enjoy the Super Bowl!

Well, I was hoping for a Colts win but I can live with the Saints getting it. They played better than the Colts for most of the game after a strong start. The city of new Orleans deserves the win after 41 years of the Aints and the more recent hardships it has suffered. I also was pleased to move on up and finish 21st out of 308. Not bad. Made the top 25 and beat all of the Bruno Boys Staff. Happy offseason everyone! Get those draft sheets started.

Well…what a game it was! I enjoyed every second and knew that Manning would make a mistake and the Saints would capitalize. Never would have thought that the Saints would win by as much as they did…but happy to see it all the same. BBFG….we called it girl! I did not finish as strong in the challenge as I was hoping to but there is always next year. Thanks to all Bruno Boys staff and members for making this year a successful one for me and I will be checking back periodically to see what everyone is up to. Best wishes to all.

Rounders… congrats on finishing in 3rd place and winning a $10 Gift Card.  You can email me at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) and I will go ahead and get it out to you.  I just checked and Lowes will allow me to send an e-gift card by email. From there you should be able to print it and use it at any Lowes location.

Congrats again and thanks for stopping by the Forum and making it easy for me to provide you with your 3rd place finish prize.

Despite the 2009-2010 season being over it doesn’t mean us Bruno Boys are going anywhere so don’t be a stranger in the forum during the offseason.

Get to digging!
