Yeah I also got screwed from Greene seeing as I picked Thomas Jones. Least Jones got in the endzone though.

Vaynard - 10 January 2010 09:33 AM

I’m known as Vaynard338 in the group. Could be doing better. Witten was a bad choice.

Hi Vanyard…Welcome to the forum! It’s early yet so hang in there! It was surprising to see what a non-factor Witten turned out to be…however he wasn’t alone…where was Marion Barber anyway? Carson Palmer…the Eagles offense as a whole…Shayne Graham blowing two easy kicks? We also saw big games from some players that we didn’t expect such as rookies Shonn Greene and Mark Sanchez as well Felix Jones who tore up the field against Philly and Shaun Suisham - run out of D.C. after missing the game winning field goal against the Saints and picked up by Dallas - posted double-digit fantasy points.

We’re certain to see the similar types of surprises -good and bad-in today’s games. Good luck with your remaining players in Wildcard Week and thanks for participating in the Playoff Challenge!

I think the best RB is mainly a bench guy in Dallas.  Glad to see Choice got more playing time last night.  Even as a philly fan, I had to look at the game from a fantasy perspecitive.
I had Jets Defense and D. Jackson.  Jackson atleast scored for me.  I had Rice all year and now he is going HUGE so far in this sunday game!  But I had to go cheap on a receiver and went with Mason.  Flacco isnt looking so hot and if they can keep running the ball, he may not have to throw!

We will see how this day pans out!

Mercury…I was rooting for Philly too but they didn’t show up last night… I also went with the Jets D…those sacks at the end of the game made them a decent play…I had Mason on one of my teams this season…but decided against the Baltimore passing game in the Playoff Challenge…Saw on the pre-game that Flacco seemed stiff and figured that Baltimore would run when possible to chew up the clock and keep Brady off the field…the Pats look mighty shaky right now but I never count Brady out until the last whistle blows…I’m loving Ray Rice at this moment and very glad that I spent money on him…

So did the Patriots even wake up this morning or what.  Three turnovers, two sacks and 24 points allowed in the first quarter!  On top of that, the Ravens have three rushing touchdowns and New England allowed just six rushing TDs in 16 regular season games.

If New England is going to make this game interesting they are going to have to put points on the board on every drive moving forward or make a big play defensively.

And thank god I have Ray Rice as well….

Lol I may as well hang it up. I have Gostkowski and NE D. However they finally pick one off.

And there is that turnover I just stated New England needed to get back into the football game.  Now they have to put seven points on the board!

Nice. I hope they do well and that the game is a shootout like many of us have predicted. I’m on Rodgers, Fitzgerald and Finley in that game..

Hopefully Rice can put together some solid yardage in the second half and get us another 6-7 points.

LOL…In an honest, pick a team in 5 minutes, kind of thing I think I did fairly well….Not sure why I thought Mason would help out…..But even with his HUGE day of ZERO points…I still managed to come in at 55th place with 152 points.  I wanted Jennings…even thought Miles Austin.  In the end…I did pretty good considering I didnt give it much thought. LOL….

Might have to pay attention a little more in week 2.

I had Rodgers and Warner as my QBs
Fitzy and Mason as my WRs
Grant and Rice as my RBs
Finley and Cundriff as my TE and K with Jets as my D.

I could have done real well had I just put one different WR in.  Oh well…..

Also noticed several Bruno Boys below me in rankings….Since Im considering them the cream of the crop, Ill take todays standings and be pleased…Noticed Picklenator had a good day too, congrats!  Tried to find some of the regular posters out there…Didnt seem to notice the team names….Need to re-read the ESPN team names yall gave in the forum. LOL

BBFantasyGirl - 09 January 2010 03:01 PM

It’s wonderful to see that so many members of the Bruno Boys Nation signed up for the Playoff Challenge…we have 303 people participating in this year’s contest—a huge increase over last year’s numbers (Cavigs can provide the exact stat)...in any case…this level of participation says a lot about the great community that we have here at BBFF…thanks to everyone for the great show of support!

FYI…now that I’m officially one of the “Boys”...I’m playing as Bruno Boys Allie (BBFG)...just so you know who I am when you see my name at the top of the leaderboard… wink

Good luck everyone…let’s enjoy our post-season Fantasy Football “fix” ...it’s on!!!

And ironicaly, as I search for our posters teams and rankings, I across Fantasy Girl’s prophetic writings.  Why you ask? Cause indeed I do see BBFG at the top of the leader board.  Not the TIPPY top mind you but she is very close to striking distance.  Unlike me where one has to “turn the page” and search. LOL.

Nice work.  You other BB’s need to be careful or your gonna have to rename the the site “BrunoGal and THEN Boys”....
Im pretty sure the URL is still available for that!!!!!

I am the Rounders and in second place.  Just signed up for the site, but I have loved your insight all year long as it helped me to be in championships in three leagues, winning 2 of them.

Good luck to everyone through the next three rounds.
