Minnesota Vikings tight end Visanthe Shiancoe returned to practice in a limited capacity Thursday and Friday after he sat out Wednesday with a thigh injury. Shiancoe is listed as questionable for Sunday’s critical game against the New York Giants. Shiancoe caught four passes for 40 yards and a touchdown in the Vikings Week 16 loss to the Bears. With Minnesota playing for a first-round bye, expect Shiancoe, one of Brett Favre’s favorite red zone targets, to make every effort to play in a favorable matchup with the Giants who give up significant fantasy points to opposing tight ends. Shiancoe will be a game-time decision on Sunday.
Bruno Boys Take: If Shiancoe is active, lock him in your starting lineup with confidence. Even without significant yardage, Shiancoe has found the end zone four times in his last six games and is a solid TE1 fantasy play with an excellent We 17 matchup.
