They are both about even in stopping the run…. Miami is a little better.
Taking a look at the play off picture…. Pittsburgh is desperate. They are a must win.
Miami must win and with half the other teams in the league losing to get in.
Charles has scored big several weeks in a row and now has seen 20 plus carries three weeks in a row. Any football team has pride and if KC can ruin Denver’s day by beating em, ya know they will try.
I dont see a huge bright star over any one of the two RBs as the surest between the two so no obvious choice.
Gut call.
Go with the gut…Id say Charles, but I also wouldnt be surprised to see Mendenhall hit paydirt again. But he also split a few shares with Moore and Parker. If parker breaks a good one, will he get even more? Charles saw every carry last week but ONE. (Not counting QB runs). He had 24.
Id gotta go with the guy getting the work load. More options to score!
But KC has had too much success…They still wont abandon the run plus there is NO one to vulture TDs where you could almost see Moore who would come in if lets say Mendenhall ran it down inside the 5 or something.
Plus just look at his touches. 20 plus the past three games.
Oh…The last blow out game was what..week 13? He had 18 carries for 56 yards and a TD.
Week before that was a lopsided loss too. 14 carries for 93 yards and a TD.
The rest of the losses/wins were relatively close.
Even when he only carried for 14, the only other carrier was Cassell.
Dont sweat the potential for a lopside… Figure it that he will get mop up duty.
Oh..the game he went for only 14 touches? Also caught three passes for a total of 54 yards…
They are both going to have nice games(I am playing them both in my league) but the man who will have the better game is Mendenhall. No one vultures him in the red zone and now that hes the 3rd down back, theres no turning back. Steelers MUST win, and let’s face it(Im a dolphin’s fan and I give up, no Pennington, Ronnie, or Ricky) they will. I expect 80 yards and 1-2 TD’s from mendenhall. Charles should have a nice day as well though as he is literally the entire offense(Cassel has struggled, even on basic snaps). Expect 90 yards and maybe a TD(depending on Cassel facing the likes of Champ Bailey).
Pretty Much how I read it too, though I personaly might give the edge to Charles when looking at his accomplishments over the longer course. But in the end…Its gonna come down to a gut call.
Like I said…There is no huge asterisk over one player compared to the other. Its not like a “Should I start Moats or Ray Rice” question. That would be an easy one…. LOL
Also dont forget you will have the RB rankings starting to come out if its not all ready out for RBs. That should give you a read on how BBs feel about it too.
thanks for all the Charles advice… I wanted to go with him & did & it got me a fantasy championship!!! Thanks again.
