This was my first year with you guys. I found you through another site (Bleacher Report) before the season. I used your Draft Guide and shared it with coworkers as well. Here’s how I did with your weekly rankings/advice…
Team 1 $$ League - won championship
Team 2 $$ League - finished 5th (tie breaker kept me out of playoffs)
Team 3 free League - won championship (after two teams cheated after draft - see “collusion” topic I posted early in season)
Team 4 Bruno League #3 - competitive (3rd or 4th place)
A few things I learned this season:
1. Check out the Live show every Sunday
2. Keep checking this site throughout the week and Sunday (would have known S Jax was out but didn’t check back)
3. All things being equal, trust your GUT.
Yep, I 2nd Rookie’s comments - this is my favorite site. Finished the regular season 9-4.
And, after much fighting-scratching-eye gouging-rough and tumble-weeping and great gnashing of teeth I finished out at…... at ........ at….. YES - 5th place! Whoo-hoo! Went in the #2 seed and got knocked out Week 14 thanks to Rodgers having an off week and R. Moss being a turd…...
OK, Capt. Mediocre but this was my first year and I had a blast to say the least. I guess now with all the free time on my hands I’ll have to be productive or something!
This is my first season with the Bruno Boys as well and I can honestly say I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every moment spent here.
So what’s this place like on the offseason?? Are the forums still pretty active? I’d love to have this place as my little football safe-haven during the offseason.

Diggingtrenches…I’m sure Cavigs will respond with an update on all the great things that the BBs are planning to keep things interesting during the offseason…I haven’t wrapped my head around the fact that we’re heading into the final week but I have a serious FF addiction and I’m in denial…in any case…did you sign up for the BBs Gridiron Playoff Challenge? The BB staff and many of the forum regulars (though it’s open to anyone who wants in) are playing to ease our transition to the offseason. And honestly…forget the BB Nation in the off-season. My wife bought CoD: Modern Warfare 2 for Christmas. I think I know where I’ll be spending my FF down-time! (Alright, I’m sure I’ll miss the competition, but maybe I can grab some of you strategically-minded players for a CoD:MW2 weekly session, or something.)

just to let you know, the forums won’t be as active in the offseason as people focus on other sports but we’ll still be here discussing the upcoming season, the draft, and other sports as well. We’ll also be updating the site on a consistent basis throughout the offseason as we begin to look forward to the 2010 season. I can’t say exactly what but there are some cool things we’ll be working on in the offseason that should be interesting reads so check in every so often.
Gonna jump this post and offer my thanks as well. Joined BBoys mid-October, and wish I had found ya’ll earlier.
My Rodgers team finished 11-4-1. In control the entire season and won all the dough. BBoys was a big help, thank you!
My Brees team finished 8 - 8. Won a little dough and finished right in the middle of the pack. Ugly team, Ugly season. Can’t make chicken salad out of chicken poo, right?! Not even BBoys could save that team!
Thanks again folks. Special shout out to mods Larry and Charley for always having great insight for me. Pick, Space and the Moron were always great too… thanks guys. The boards here are much more hands on and thoughtful imho.
