Terbmagic….It feels like Groundhog Day not December 27..this question is familiar…at running back I’d roll with Barber, Charles, and Mendenhall…and at WR I give a slight edge to Crabtree over White primarily because of the matchup against the league’s worst pass defense…the Lions. Good luck this week!

I know I know! Im repeating myself but all the marbles are on the line in the championship.  And its a LOT of marbles!  I’d hate myself if I got it wrong.

terbmagic,

I am going to have to agree with my friend BBFG on the RB’s, I would go with Mendy, Charles and Barber. They each have tough match-ups, but there are too many questions with the others. Will Bush get enough touches to be worth while, can Morris repeat last week and will Addai play the entire game. I can’t answer those questions with an certainty, so I would go with the safer options.

As for WR, I have a hard time not playing my studs and White is a stud. I would find it hard not to start White. Although I see the intrigue with Crabtree. He has a great match-up against my beloved Lions who have the worst secondary in the history of the NFL. I also believe that if Crabtree had played the entire season, he would be at stud status by this point. Go with your gut here, but Crabtree is definitely a tempting option.

Good luck getting your championship.

Tell us Terbmagic…you asked this question in the Saturday and Sunday chats and here in the forum…so did you follow the advice of BB Larry and “Start Your Stud” Roddy White or did you roll with Crabtree?

Ouch Terb. I’m one of those Bruno Boys that was on Crabtree this week. I feel your frustration because Crabtree had a good game bit it just so happened that White put together his best game of the year against a top notch passing defense.

What was the final score and do you have any hope entering Monday Night?

Feel free to blow up my photo and throw darts at it all offseason since I was on the Crabtree side of things.

Thanks for coming into the forums and posting on a regular basis and don’t forget to visit frequently during the offseason.

Finally, did you get the t shirt that you’d won?

I feel your pain Terbmagic…however it’s situations like this that make fantasy football so exciting and so frustrating…sometimes you have to trust your instincts and not overanalyze your choices…

In fairness to those of us who thought that Michael Crabtree v Detroit Lions might be a better option than Roddy White in Week 16…White’s fantasy output in Week 14 was 4 FPs and in Week 15 he put up 3 FPs…it was reasonable to conclude that he might have trouble in a matchup against a tough Buffalo pass defense. Clearly White benefited in a big way from Matt Ryan’s presence at quarterback and their excellent rapport. For the heck of it I took a look at the Bills injury report and learned that they put two of their best players in the secondary on IR this past week - cornerback Terrence McGee and safety Jarius Byrd. In fact Byrd leads the NFL in interceptions and is a candidate for Defensive Rookie of the Year. It seems likely that their absence contributed to the effectiveness of the Falcons passing game. Sometimes things just click like they did today for Roddy White…and for the Broncos Jabar Gaffney who scored two touchdowns today after doing nothing the entire season… who could have predicted that and did anyone start Gaffney this week?  Sorry I digress with my Gaffney comments…In any case, if you play a consolation round in your league next week…the Falcons face the Bucs which bodes well for Atlanta’s passing game and another potentially big day for Roddy White.

Oh and take Cavigs up on his suggestion to throw darts at his photo…it could be very cathartic for you…

Haha I like how this has turned into a rehab section.  Guys, its football and it wasn’t you going out there and dropping a pass.  Don’t worry guys I’m not out yet its a 2 week championship round and the 2 weeks get added together for your final score.  I’m up 6 but he has Adrian Peterson to go so I’ll be down this week.  Hopefully next week Aaron Rodgers can pull out his normal 20 without being pulled from the game after the run game annihilates.

Like I said not a big deal it’s ok I’ll live lol, don’t worry guys I have the faith for bruno boys.  But to be fair though I gotta say, I never did get that shirt!

Not rehab Terbmagic…therapy…you had me worried with your “I hate my life” comment… wink

It’s great that you’re in a two week championship round so you can still pull off a win…and you can play Roddy White in his matchup against the Bucs…that’s your choice. It’s never really one player when it comes down to it…I started Rodgers in one of my league championships and was bummed when they pulled him early. My opponent and I were just points apart through all the early games…and it could have made a difference…fortunately I was able to pull away during the late games with help from the AZ D (best move I made in Week 16…thanks Cavigs), Beanie and Matt Prater.  Good luck in Week 17!

Just saying that Rodgers has been the main reason I’m in the championship.  And yes, I will be playing Roddy White next week and in fact NOT Michael Crabtree.  I was dumbfounded when Beanie Wells(whom my opponent has) got the TD in the 4th quarter 3 min on clock just running the ball to run down the clock : /  I got SF defense which was perfect for the championship(Det then the Rams).  Now if only that shirt arrived….

You have to love those garbage time TDs…that’s what happened with Chris Johnson’s 4Q TD on Christmas night…it was a great run but it seemed like even San Diego was on board with seeing him achieve the 2,000 yards rushing and consectutive 100 yards+ games…

I really want to see him get into the 2000 yard club, I hope they give him the ball nonstop next week.  I just like the guy, hes pretty funny and down to earth.
But Beanie is no CJ!

Me too Terb…CJ is one of the reasons (Schaub and A Johnson) why I finished first in my Yahoo family league this season…I wasn’t comparing him to Beanie…just saying that garbage time TDs either help you or hurt and can make a difference in the outcome of a close matchup…personally…I loved the Beanie late quarter TD…and I think he will come into his own the more playing time he gets…

Beanie Wells has started playing around week 5. This is his 1st year playing. Next year, who knows what kind of damage he will going to. He might be the next guy after CJ.
He is strong, he is fast and he is smart.
