I am surprised there wasn’t a topic started on Tiger Woods and the whole scandel sooner. With all these reports surfacing about him cheating on his wife with multiple girls what is your take on this?

Will you still root for Tiger or are you no longer a fan?

Also, can he overcome all of the negative press and get back to being a superstar golfer once some time passes and he takes care of what is important in his life?

I never have cared for golf or tiger but from what i’ve been hearing, this is beginning to get bigger and bigger withthe whole stepmom phone call to 911 so i think this could begin to get even uglier for tiger

I became a fan of Tiger Woods because he “is” great at what he does.. Do i think what he did was wrong? Yes. Enough for me to no longer be a fan of the man..? No. So will i continue to root for him? Without a doubt. Do i see him overcoming the negative press?  Yep. Will he be the same superstar athlete? I don’t even see the man’s pockets taking a hit, if anything he might struggle at first but, he’ll get over it. Kobe did.

My Bruno Boys Prediction: Elin and Tiger work it out.

“Best of luck to both of them”

And Tiger loses his first sponsorship as Accenture decided to drop him. It was only a matter of time before one of the companies he represents would dump him but now the question is….

Will this snowball into the others getting rid of him as well?

Really, I could care less either way but it’s a good topic for discussion and that is why I am bringing this up.

Tiger Woods was the best ever, he will probably always be the best ever.  Unfortunately, I don’t think he will be able to ever recover and go back to being the number 1 golfer.  Nike did originally state that they would continue to be represented by him, regardless of how many step up and say they had a relationship.  I think they will stick with him, just as they did with Jordan and all his CRAZY gambling addiction(just lost to him in a Hard Rock Poker tournament btw in Tampa as his son goes to University of Central Florida where I attend, very cool stuff).  NIke is kinda the collector of “the bests ever.”

Not a golf fan, but always admired Tigers ability and I reckon if he wants to sink a few puts on a different course or two that between him and his hot Swedish wife

You got that right terbmagic…Nike is so committed to standing by Tiger that in a show of support they’re considering changing the company tagline from “Just Do It” to Just Do Me.”

Okay so I’m kidding about the tagline change…but not about Nike’s commitment…Here’s a link to a short interview with Phil Knight, co-founder and chair of Nike in this week’s issue of SportsBusiness Journal: http://www.sportsbusinessjournal.com/article/64343

Question: With Tiger, a person who was believed to be of more upstanding character beforehand, is it possible to check for everything?

Knight: Obviously, he was one we checked out and he came out clean, and I think he’s been really great. When his career is over, you’ll look back on these indiscretions as a minor blip, but “the media is making a big deal out of it right now.”

..exactly.
