Fred Jackson is on the waiver wire in my league. A 12 team non ppr with 4pts for TD pass. We start 1Qb 2RB 2WR 1Te K D.. Many teams in my league could sure use a runnninb back..and I’m pretty solid at RB. Is there anyone on my team who u would drop for him? Even if I’m not gonna play him just so no one else can? Here’s my team

QB-Cassel
Stafford

RB-Forte
Gore
P Thomas
McFadden
LenDale
Hightower

WR-R White
Ochocinco
Walter
Driver

te-ZMiller

can’t really drop a QB, Te K or D so worth my while? Thanks for the help

You can’t drop a QB? While I’m not a huge Cassel advocate, Stafford does not deserve to rostered even though he has won the starting spot in Detroit.

Considering Fred Jackson’s worth is about 3 weeks deep, it would make sense to pick him up and drop Stafford. While you don’t need to start him, much of the strategy of fantasy football is how you can slow down your opponents as well. I don’t know how you pulled off Forte, Gore, P. Thomas, McFadden, and Lendale, but WOW. Your RBs are your strength and expect many people in your league to come to you for help when their RBs get hurt (the inevitable).

Hope this helps, and let me know what you plan on doing through the forums. Thanks for the question..

Yea I can drop Stafford but I still have to start one assuming Cassel isn’t going to play week 1. We had 2 keepers and I kept Forte(rd8) n RWhite(rd5). I then took Gore rd1 PThomas rd2 Mcfadden rd4 and Lendale rd6. Now I’m feeling the effects of loading up on RBs and only drafting 1QB, TE, K and D. Drafting all the RBs wasn’t my plan I felt they were just the best players ava. I really hope Thomas or McFadden have a big first couple weeks so I can trade them for an upgrade at QB or/and WR or I could be in trouble. While were on the Stafford subject their r a couple of other starting QBs ava. SHill Quinn/Anderson Leftwich Pennington Edwards Russel. Any of this guys an upgrade over Stafford. I figured they’d be losing n at least he has Johnson? Maybe I should just wait to hear Cassels def situation then go from there? Thanks again for ur help!

Honestly Dolphan, you should consider dropping Hightower and picking up another QB. Looking at your depth at RB, Hightower probably will never crack your starting lineup. Dropping him allows you to hold on to Stafford if you wish and still get another QB. If you didnt want to take a QB, you do have some good WRs, but maybe add a bit of depth at that position.
